Description

In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing INCEPTION (2010) which is currently streaming on HBO Max.  Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film follows Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio), a man who heads a team with a very specific and special skillset - they are able to extract information from people in the dream world.  When an assignment goes wrong, the wronged party, Saito (Ken Watanabe) enlists Cobb and his team to do a reverse process and incept a thought into a competitor, Robert Fischer (Cillian Murphy) who stands to inherit a large empire from his dying father.  Cobb assembles a team that includes Arthur (Joseph Gordon Levitt), Eames (Tom Hardy), Ariadne (Elliot Page) and Yusuf (Dileep Rao).  From here the story takes some twists and turns that are further aggravated by the appearance of Mal (Marion Cotillard), Cobb's dead wife.  The film has a run time of 2 h 28 m, and is rated PG-13.
