In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 (2023) which is still in the theaters but also to buy/rent on Prime. From director, Chad Stahleski, and writers, Shay Hatten, Michael Finch and Derek Kolstad; this is the latest in the John Wick story and finds our hero, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) picking up the story thread from the third film and racing against time to save gain his freedom from the High Table and finally get out of the way of life that seems to have sunk its claws into him and won't let go. Visually stunning with decent fight choreography, this latest film sadly becomes boring and repetitive with a lackluster story and action sequences, although technically impressive, are too drawn out for their own good and is what ultimately hurts the film. Go check out 2014's JOHN WICK instead which you can check out on Tubi or for buy/rent on Prime. The film clocks in at 2 h 49 m and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
