In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing PINOCCHIO (2022) which is currently streaming on Disney+. "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi, this latest Disney feature gets the live action treatment with screenplay credits to Robert Zemeckis and Chris Weitz and is directed by Robert Zemeckis. In this classic tale wishes made on stars, an old man named Geppeto (Tom Hanks) wishes the puppet he's created would become a little boy. Later as he sleeps, the Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo) visits and with magic brings the puppet Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) to life. With the help of Jiminy Cricket (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who acts as his conscience, Pinocchio must navigate the world and be true, brave and unselfish as per the Blue Fairy's instructions and then he will turn into a boy. The film has a run time of 1 h 45 m, and is rated PG. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
