In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing POLTERGEIST (1982), from director Tobe Hoopers with a screenplay by Steven Spielberg, Michael Grais and Mark Victor. In this classic 80's horror film, the Freeling family face their worst nightmare when the youngest among them, Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) is abducted into the spirit world by the lost souls that haunt their suburban home. Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams star as her parents, Dominique Dunne and Oliver Robins play her siblings and character actors Beatrice Straight, Richard Lawson, James Karen and Zelda Rubenstein round out the cast. The film clocks in at 1 h and 54 m, is rated PG and is available to buy/rent from Prime Video. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
