In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing PUNISHER WAR ZONE (2008), available on Hulu with a premium subscription or to rent on YouTube, Google Play & Movies, Apple TV, Vudu, Amazon Prime and iTunes. Created in the 70s by Gerry Conway (writer) with John Romita Sr and Ross Andru, (artists), this 2008 incarnation is directed by Lexi Alexander with script credits to Nick Santora, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. The film follows Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) as he kills his way through the criminal underworld all the while trying to protect the widow of an undercover federal agent and the agent's little girl safe from Jigsaw and Loony Bin Jim. Some absolutely bonkers, over the top violence round out this very fun but brutal film. The film's runtime is 1 hour and 43 minutes and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
