In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE BATMAN (2022), currently streaming on HBO Max. The film, directed by Matt Reeves, follows Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) who's trying to solve the mystery of all these high ranking officials being taken out throughout Gotham City. With help from an inside contact, Jim Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) and a young woman named, Selina (Zoë Kravitz), Bruce/The Batman navigates the treacherous landscape of Gotham. With stellar performances by an ensemble cast that includes Colin Farrell, John Turturro and Paul Dano among others, this new vision of The Batman is gritty and a welcome new addition to the legend of the world's greatest detective. The film is written by Matt Reeves and Peter Craig, from characters created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. The film has a run time of 2 h 56 m and is rated PG-13.
