In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE MATRIX (1999), from directors/writers Lana and Lilly Wachowski.  The film tells the story of a talented hacker, Thomas Anderson a.k.a. Neo (Keanu Reeves), who is drawn into a hidden rebellion after being contacted by the enigmatic Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), who reveals that the world Neo knows is a simulated reality called the Matrix. As Neo is awakened to the truth, he must choose whether to accept a dangerous path that could free humanity — and discover who he really is.  The film clocks in at 2 h and 16 m, is rated R and is currently streaming on HBO Max.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
