In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE MERRY GENTLEMEN (2024), from director Peter Sullivan with a screenplay by Jeffrey Schenck, Peter Sullivan and Marla Sokoloff. In this romantic comedy that seems to closely follow a Hallmark movie formula, a woman named Ashley (Britt Robertson) returns to her small town for the holidays after losing her dream job right before Christmas. There she finds new purpose in saving her parent's failing business by staging an all-male dance show while also falling for the local handyman (Chad Michael Murray as Luke). The film clocks in at 1 h and 27 m, is rated TV-14 and is currently streaming on Netflix. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
