In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE RAID: REDEMPTION (2011) which is currently available on Netflix. From writer/director Gareth Evans, in which we follow Rama (Iko Uwais) , a member of SWAT team being sent in to take down a ruthless drug lord who's ensconced in a heavily fortified tenement filled with his thugs and crazed killers eager to do his bidding. With this and THE RAID 2, Gareth Evans has created a taunt, tense action thrill ride that should not be missed. These films are a gold standard of what all action movies should aspire to be. CORRECTION: the story takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia. The film clocks in at 1 h 41 m and is rated R. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
