In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THE SUPER MARIO BROS MOVIE (2023) which is still in the theaters but also to buy/rent on Prime. From directors, Aaron Horvath, Michael Jelenic and co-directors Pierre Leduc and Fabien Polak, the film is written by Matthew Fogel. Based on the popular video game franchise, the story follows Mario (Chris Pratt) who is trying to grow the plumbing business he runs with his brother Luigi (Charlie Day). They are transported to a strange world where they go on a quest to help Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) defend her kingdom against the evil Bowser (Jack Black). The film clocks in at 1 h 32 m and is rated PG. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
