In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER (2022) which is currently streaming on Disney+. In the latest installment of the Thor story, director Taika Waititi shares screenplay credits with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson to continue Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) story after the events of INFINITY WAR. It's explained that Thor has carried on with the Guardians of the Galaxy to help those in dire need of assistance. He's alerted to some trouble afoot with Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). He departs but not before Peter (Chris Pratt) imparts the lesson of it's better to have been hurt and have loved than to not have loved at all. The script is over the top but the subtle nuances of that message, which is woven throughout the film and highlighted in all the interactions between Thor and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and the end sequence really made this film for me. The film has a run time of 1 h 58 m, and is rated PG-13. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
