On the twenty-fourth night of our #31DaysToHalloween the Mister joins me in reviewing TRAIN TO BUSAN (2016), screenplay from Park Joo-suk and Yeon Sang-ho, the film is directed by Yeon Sang-ho. A busy, divorced fund manager, Seok-woo, reluctantly agrees to take his young daughter, Su-an, on the KTX bullet train from Seoul to Busan for her birthday, unaware that a deadly zombie virus has just begun rapidly spreading across the country. Just after the train departs, an infected passenger boards and quickly turns, unleashing a chaotic outbreak among the confined passengers who must now fight their way through the narrow train cars to survive. As the high-speed train races toward the supposed safety of Busan, Seok-woo and a small group of survivors are forced to battle the relentless hordes while also confronting the worst of human selfishness among the remaining uninfected. The film clocks in at 1 h and 58 m, is unrated (but let's say R) and we caught the film on the Hoopla app, but you can watch the film on Netflix and to buy/rent on Prime Video. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
