On the twenty-fifth night of our #31DaysToHalloween the Mister joins me in reviewing WEAPONS (2025), from writer/director Zach Cregger. When seventeen children from the same elementary school class suddenly vanish from their homes at the exact same time one night, their small community is thrown into a state of panic and suspicion. The mystery is explored through the shifting perspectives of the children's teacher, an increasingly desperate grieving father, a troubled local cop, and other citizens whose lives are spiraling in the wake of the inexplicable tragedy. As fear and paranoia mount, these disparate characters are drawn into a chilling web of dark rituals and supernatural manipulation to uncover what truly happened to the missing children. The film clocks in at 2 h and 8 m, is rated R and we caught it in theatres but you can find it on HBO Max and to buy/rent on Prime Video. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
