Trinity 3
Luke 15:1-10
Jesus today speaks three parables in a row of the lost and how He finds them and restores them. Nothing brings Jesus more joy than to bring lost into His loving embrace. When they are found, Jesus rejoices with His friends, neighbors, and holy angels. He welcomes them and gives to them a terrific feast. “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost!” “Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.” “Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.”
