The justice and vengeance for evil and wickedness committed against you and by you were entirely taken into His body. He suffered the pain and anguish deserved for our sin. He was flogged for your neighbor's trespasses, beaten for your enemies’ treachery, killed for every unjust act man has ever committed. He died the death of the cross for your sins, confessed and unconfessed. “‘Vengeance is mine,’ says the LORD.” He has exacted the punishment you and your neighbor deserves upon His own son.
