Embracing a Christian worldview means understanding judgment as a positive element used by God.
God’s judgement surprises us because God truly desires everyone, no exceptions, to be with Him in eternity; and God’s judgement is purposed to bring about the new creation so that humanity might live alongside God in unity, as was His purpose from page one of the Scriptures.
