Description

This week we're joined by Natalie Gonzalez and founding board member, DeWayne Sheaffer to discuss Intersectionality and how it shows up in higher education and policy. Intersectionality is an analytical framework for understanding how aspects of a person's social and political identities combine to create different modes of disadvantages and privilege. This matrix factors in gender, race, class, sexuality, disability, and more in the whole person because all of these things are present at the same time and should be acknowledged.
