Poem-Embarassing Eloquence: Let your actions be louder than your words!
By Sheila Bore
~~~~~~
Embarassing Eloquence, let your actions be louder
How low can you go? This is feigned elegance
Let me liberate you from my ignorance.
You may say my behaviour is arrogance
Yet, your promises versus reality; how low can you go under a circumstance?
Forget your words, let your actions be louder
What happened to your moral compass?
Suddenly the idea and feel of power makes you pompous
Money and wealth are not your discovery you nouveau riche Columbus
Don’t let your greed & selfishness, your life encompass.
Forget your words, let your actions speak louder than your words!
Where that came from more can grow
Yet, do not sell yourself short, you think it’s only time you throw
this is a betrayal so deep, it’s like 3 cock crows
Forgetting who sacrificed & promises you made, you shake your head Afro
What goes up surely comes down ma Sista & ma Bro
Forget your words, let your actions speak louder than your words
When I get power
I will try to be humble in my tower
Promises made, are like a bouquet of flowers, rose petals with rice, thrown after couple walks down the aisle; marriage vows sealed and signed, that type of shower.
Forget your words, let your actions speak louder than your words
You borrowed from me to get rich
Let’s me get to the crux, you make snake oil promises were laced as a good pitch
Yet now, with your success, you’ve got power, you’ve thrown me into a financial ditch
Our friendship devalued, it’s not about the money; just because you’ve found your niche
Pay up before things go south & you cannot recover nought when you run into a hitch
Forget your words, let your actions speak louder than your words.
Don’t let yourself get into embarrassing eloquence, let your actions speak louder than your words.
