Born in Louisiana and growing up on Oahu, Robert Savery got his start with music in the fourth grade. In 1987, Robert and his brother Richard formed The Savery Brothers, a six-piece group specializing in old-style country-Western music playing gritty honky-tonks. In this episode, Robert will discuss two of his originals: "Under The Monkey Pod Tree," and "I've Got a Good Song To Sing."
