This week Julie and Chrissa are joined by Mary Kate, a Licensed Master Social Worker at Heart and Solutions. Mary Kate graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Child, Adult, and Family Services and History in 2015.
While working at a residential facility for children in Des Moines, Mary Kate decided to pursue an advanced degree to better be able to serve children and families struggling in the state of Iowa. Mary Kate graduated from the University of Iowa with a masters in social work in 2019. After a brief detour through the healthcare field, she found her way back to her original passion: mental health therapy.
