Welcome back to Mental Snacks with Claiborne Jackson
Donβt confuse being in motion with making progress. Donβt confuse
being in motion with making progress.
Β
You can enroll in a program, pick up a book and turn the pages and say
hey I completed program yes thatβs in motion but did you understand
what you read and are you applying the lessons you learned? If you are
applying what you read to real life then you are making progress if not
then you were in motion
Β
If you go to the gym to workout and your goal is to build muscle or burn
fat, you can move weights and walk or run on a treadmill, and then leave
and eat fast food..thats in motion.. but if you want progress you will do all
of the above and instead of eating fast food you will eat clean..
Β
Heck you can spin in circles and be in motion but unless you are moving
forward you are not making progess. Its that simple.
Heck a dog that chases his tail is in in motion but he is not making
progress unless his plan was to go in circles until its dizzy. But for some
reason I tend to think the plan is to catch its
tail and not be dizzy
Β
So do you See the difference. Just because you in motion does not
mean you are making progress. In order to make progress you have to
have a plan and be Β disciplined in order to execute said plan. See Being
motivated is great but discipline is what makes you show up everyday
and make progress..
Β
So please donβt confuse being in motion with making Β progress.
