Welcome back to Mental Snacks with Claiborne Jackson, where
you will find mindful discussions to assist with healing caused by generational
trauma.
ย
Mental Snack of the Dayโฆ Check your mindset at least twice
as often as you check your phone or any other device that might alter your
mood.
ย
For instance, if you were in a funky mood and searched for
things that matched. Well, now your phone's algorithm is set to that same mood.
so, the next time you pick up your phone you might be in a good or decent mood
but boom, you check your phone and negative energy takes over and before you
know it your mindset is completely screwed up
ย
I do not check my phone when I first wake up. At least not
for the first hour. My son has a specific ring tone that overrides my airplane
mode so if and only if I hear his specific alert will I get up and check my
phone. Other than that, I enjoy some good ol me time. I donโt need to be
involved with all the world's issues.ย
ย
A friend of mine at work said there are times when she has
been in a good mood, jumped on social media, and felt completely drained after
a few minutes from all the negativity.
ย
Now I'm not saying to avoid your phone or social media, but
what I am saying is to protect your mental health by any and all means. so
again. Check your mindset more than you check your phone.
