The story we are discussing takes place in Luke 

Younger Brother:

• Grace is owed
• doesn't understand the value of his family position
• Extravagant with himself
• no personal standard no moral/material restraint
• finds himself in an environmental wasteland *moral poverty

Older Brother:

• Grace is earned
• doesn't understand the nature of his family position
• extravagant with no one (not even himself)
• no personal kindness/ is in moral/material bondage (too much restraint)
• Is in an internal/spiritual wasteland *spiritual poverty.

Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven--Inheritance!!
