Joseph & Christ: How to Find Jesus in the OT
Watch now and see Jesus in Joseph's story like never before!
You will learn how he was sent by his father out of Hebron (Means:
Fellowship), finds his brothers shepherding the father's flock in Dothan
(Means: Laws and Customs). This is how Jesus found the Religious
leaders (Shepherds) of Israel.
When Joseph approached them, they conspired to murder him.
He was sold for pieces of silver, and his brother Judah came up with
this plan - the name Judas derives from the name Judah.
Joseph was thrown in the pit - like the tomb.
He was handed over to the Gentiles and at that point, he was out of
their lives for many, many years - like Israel and Jesus.
His brothers came up with a lie, a lie that lasted a long time until
Israel discovered HE WAS ALIVE!
What was the lie?
That a wild animal had devoured Joseph.
This is so similar to how the text in Psalm 22:16 (17) was changed:
"they bite like a lion my hands and my feet".
So, just like Joseph's story, this lie has been going on for a long time
and it was a lie to ISRAEL.
But we see that in Joseph's story that ISRAEL discovers that he is
alive!
When did this happen?
During the 7 year time of Great Trouble (The famine over all the earth).
That speaks of the 7 Year Great Tribulation Period (Daniel's 70th week
(7 year period).
Is it not amazing how God told this prophetic story of His Son Yeshua
(Jesus) in the story of Yosef (Joseph)? This was not by chance, only God
could do this.
