In this episode, I am joined by fourth year medical student Meghana Kalavar. Meghana is an alum of Johns Hopkins University where she did her undergraduate studies and Master’s degree in public health. Meghana is currently a student at the University of Miami School of Medicine. This fall, she will be applying for residency training in ophthalmology.

Meghana has had a variety of unique professional experiences from being a consultant for a public health initiative in Canada and India, to researching gender disparities and their impact in the field of ophthalmology. Recently, she was a published author with researchers at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for her work in telemedicine during COVID-19 in ophthalmology.
