What does the Bible say love is? What does it look like for us to love one another? Very often we relate love to how we feel towards someone. If I don't feel love towards someone, then I don't love them, and then I can't show them love. But is that really what the Bible teaches? Is that the kind of love that the Bible commands? No, it's not! The love that the Bible commands is not found in our feelings but in our actions; that we would chose to love, to do what is in the best interest of others. The perfect example of love is in God Himself; God, who GAVE His only Son, and Jesus who GAVE Himself. We to are to give of ourselves for others. We are to love others as God has loved us. And when we love like God, we keep God's law, which is summed up in loving God and loving others. As Pastor Scott walks us through the Bible's teaching about love, he ends with the parable of the Good Samaritan, and how it is an example of love and what it means to keep God's law.
