Mississippi State entered the week still ranked No. 2 in Baseball America, and No. 3 in D1 Baseball. Mississippi State would host Grambling, and Louisiana Lafayette as the bulldogs would get shutouts in both, making that 3 straight since 1976 season. Yes, that’s when the Legend Ron Polk started his first year at Mississippi State. In doing so Mississippi State would push their record to 10-3 for the year with those wins. Louisiana Lafayette is a big non conference win, that may really raise our RPI significantly!! This pitching from Mississippi State is really, seriously, impressive!! Bulldogs pitching may just be the factor for the College World Series!
