Mississippi State is heading to Nashville for a top 4 showdown between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. All the talk apparently has been about only Vandy's two starters Kumar Rocker as Vandy's Friday night ace, and Jack Liter on Saturday starter on the mound. Vanderbilt is an excellent team, and rightfully so. They are the defending National champs, BUT this Mississippi State program has a nack for showing up big in big time moments such as these this weekend.
Make no mistake about it Mississippi State is going to Vanderbilt to win this series PERIOD!!! State is playing confidently having won 11/12, and 8/9 conference games. Mississippi State's starting pitching with Christian Macleod, Will Bednar, can match up well with Kumar, and Jack. Sunday I believe heavily favors the Dawgs. I believe Mississippi State will secure one of these first two games, and setting up Mississippi State to win the series on Sunday if not on Saturday for Mississippi State.
