Dr. Debbie Harrington served in the U.S. Army for 25 years, and then went on to complete a Doctorate of Education in Innovation and Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University in Delaware. She's also a wife and mother of three adult children who ran to represent Delaware's 8th district in the state legislature in the 2020 election cycle.  In this interview. Dr. Harrington explains what she learned about service by being one of nine children, how her military service informed her campaign, and what it was like to be a Black woman running for elected office in Delaware through the pandemic and racial unrest of 2020.
