With over 311,000 students directly impacted by gun violence (since Columbine), we consider a world where millions have a link to this uniquely American phenomenon. While no easy answers exist, talking about the problem is a start and certainly better than the alternative of allowing ourselves to be numb to our reality.
Maybe this time is when we'll stop talking past each other and start talking with each other to find a solution that protects the most vulnerable.
