Description

Moving through the world without paying attention, we might accidentally close a door too hard, or bring our feet down against the pavement with too much force. Some of these events are subtler than others, and can easily be missed.

When we do notice our own bodies and notice our surroundings, we will start to adjust, finding ways to interact with the world more gently.

Taking a walk, we might make the effort to be aware of our feet, taking care to place the balls of our feet first. In the long term, this might even have a large impact on the health of our bones and joints.

Being present in the world, we disturb less ourselves and others; we are gentle in our presence.
