Description

We might find ourselves in a situation where someone is arguing with us, on the Internet or in person. Perhaps we perceive that they’re trying to diminish our wisdom, capabilities or experience in some way. Many people get angry in that case, and it’s understandable.

However, imagine for a moment that you have a different reaction - your ideal reaction. It might be calm, joy, amusement, or delight, or something else. Put yourself in the position of having that feeling, and see what your thoughts might be like.

It’s something special about humans that we can imagine a state of being, and then begin to transform ourselves to achieve it. With time and practice, we might become very much like that being which we previously only imagined.

Likewise, we might currently believe that certain concepts are opposed - for example, that it’s impossible to be both productive and happy - the key assumption of autoexigence.

When we start looking for ways to be both happy and productive, we might well find them. It’s not likely that we will find them before we start looking.

We begin to imagine more, and we soon begin to receive more, to see more and even live more.
