When people reach the end of their lives, sometimes they do not go willingly. Having spent their lives chasing material possessions, forgetting to enjoy the moments with their loved ones, they regret.
Others speak their hearts and then go peacefully. Having lived their lives with presence, they had prepared for their transition for years.
In these unusual times, we might wish to hide from the changes that are coming. We might distract ourselves, or deny the situation, doing anything we can to avoid presence.
In the days or weeks leading up to a journey, it normally benefits us to make sure everything is in order, that our bills will be paid and important relations maintained even when we’re away.
When we do begin a journey having prepared diligently, we might still be scared, but we can step into it with faith.
