It appears to be a common story among esport athletes: play traditional sports, get injured and then take esports seriously. I don't know how much longer that will the case, but there is still an argument to be made for better treatment. Esport athletes put in 12-16 hour days of scrimmaging and then doing the solo stream grind to try and secure branding and a longer sustainable job because of the short time-span there is to be an esport athlete.
