Affected by... goes viral. Join us as we talk to two people working on the forefront of COVID-19, Asha Ravikumar, MD and Satish Pillai, PhD. Asha Ravikumar, MD is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and specializes in chronic kidney disease and end state renal disease. She practices medicine in Southern California and is now seeing patients with COVID-19. Satish Pillai, PhD is the Senior Investigator, Vitalant Research Institute and Professor, Department of Laboratory Medicine,UCSF. He has studied HIV/AIDS for over 20 years and, like many of his colleagues, has pivoted to study the virus that causes COVID-19.
