Sister Immaculata Hanisch entered the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles in 1985 and received final vows in 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Science center with a degree in clinical dietetics and a Masters in Theology from Holy Apostles College Seminary in Connecticut. She is currently the chair of the theology department at Archbishop Collman Carrol High School in Miami Florida. She enjoys watercolor painting, reading and basketball.
