We sat down and talked about dealing with grief and dealing with loss. Grief is a very natural feeling after loss has occurred but it comes with many different depths of intensity and handled much differently by everyone involved. Dr. Gens and I discussed the different complexities of what loss can look like, our personal trials and tribulations, when grieving can become unhealthy, the role of religion, and how people of any age can get back on the right track and find identity and purpose afterwards. Dr. Gens navigated back and forth between person and professional so effortlessly and did it with so much grace.
