Rebuilding Together Houston is announcing a year full of special home repair projects, and a 40th Anniversary celebration on May 11th and 12th, 2022.  Rebuilding Together Houston’s history starts in 1982, when Houstonian Robert Mosbacher, Jr. founded the organization and named it after Private Sector Initiatives, his Reagan White House project that called for volunteerism to supplement government programs for those in need. Soon, volunteer home repair became Mosbacher's largest program. In 2003, they joined Rebuilding Together as an affiliate of the national network.  Our guest is Christine Holland, CEO/ED of Rebuilding Together.

Teach For America works in partnership with 350 urban and rural communities across the country to expand educational opportunity for children. Today, Teach For America is a force of 66,000 alumni and corps members working in more than 9,000 schools nationwide in pursuit of profound systemic change.  Our guest for this segment is Brandon Neely and Kandi Fernandez the Directors of School Impact for TFA Houston.
