This week, I bring to you a solo-cast, where I share some background on topic of "Avidya"--the Sanskrit word for ignorancethat inspired the creation and name of this weekly "Lifting the Veil" podcast.
Asking the questions: "is there an antidote for ignorance" right in front of our eyes? If so, what part of our condition, renders us unable to see it? How does our perspective, our very ability to see ourselves and our place it the world, affect our belief about the world? More specifically, I examine the the role pain, or avoidance of it, plays in keeping our focus "out there," in defended states of protection, where we give our power to others, conditions, or events, that keep us distracted and out of our sovereign "state."
