Description

Garrett Dornfeld reached out to The Pursuit on Instagram a few months ago wanting to share his knowledge and experience on the show. Garrett and I got in touch a few days later and he shared how he goes about his daily life. Garrett grew up in a small town of 1300 people in Eastern Washington. He graduated high school and moved to Portland, Oregon to attend George Fox University. Within his time at George Fox, Garrett struggled to identify what he would do after college. While in school, he worked for valet service, parking expensive cars at a high-end hotel. Garrett would ask these wealthy people what they did and the main answers he’d hear were Finance, Real Estate, Investment Banking. Garrett discovered his passion for  Finance through working this minimum wage job and worked for Kaiser Permanente after graduating. After working 50-60 hour weeks at Kaiser, Garrett soon realized that he’d have to reprioritize his priorities and started snowboarding in his free time.

In this episode Garrett discusses the challenges he faced determining his major in college, doing something when you don't know what you’re doing, and provides his advice on how to find a better work-life balance. We hope you enjoy this episode!
