Description

The Chronicle newsroom in the late 2000s-early 2010s was a gritty holding cell of hard-reporting, hard-partying rapscallions. Out of that famed Dirty Man Newsroom emerged one Andy Campbell, who used a video of himself being tasered by the Lewis County Sheriff as evidence he was willing to ANYTHING for a weird story. He took his talents to New York where he worked for the Brooklyn Paper and the New York Post before landing at HuffPo, producing headlines like "How to Date a Porn Star: My Night Out With Joanna Angel" and "Andy in a Box! Our Columnist Gives the Gift of Love." Most recently he's been covering the political rallies on a national scale as a senior editor for HuffPo, which has led to a contract to write a book on the Proud Boys movement and how it was partially enabled by the internet.

In this episode of ChronVersations, the hosts cover Campbell's book, his headline highlights, why he still occasionally name-drops The Chronicle and the general aura of The Dirty Man Newsroom.
