Our second episode of season 3 and we're continuing on with our fabulous author interviews for pride! We talk to Ciara Smyth about her books - The Falling in Love Montage and her recent release, Not My Problem. Both books feature lesbian main characters who are navigating love, high school, and family issues. Smyth's character's are wildly sarcastic and entertaining and she creates such depth to their stories and lives that we can't help but empathize with both Saorsie and Aideen! We also discussed the publishing process in America vs the UK, the strong family dynamics Symth writes about particulary grief, favorite characters, and the importance of representation!
If you want to buy any of Smyth's books - consider buying it from our bookshop.org link @ https://bookshop.org/shop/thebookstagays - this is a way to support indie bookstores AND the show (we receive a very small kickback if you purchase through our affiliate link).
