I know a lot of us read books to improve ourselves on a daily for work, life, or sport. Its great to find read these types of books and follow these famous authors and well known public figures, but it is very awesome to find someone like this in our local community. This interview was a great look into the career of Fernando Lopez and his profession of Mental Coaching.
I am always getting in my own head and it causes me to get stuck in a lot of things. Fernando gave some helpful hints and the biggest take away was Deliberate Practice. Even though the majority of work is towards military personnel, he is willing to help others break through some barriers in any sport. Sabre Academy is very lucky to have another great person on the mats that is willing to help. You can perform the motions all day physically , but you need a strong mind to move beyond your own limitations to progress and succeed
