This story is one of the most fascinating episodes in Srimad Bhagavatam. Here the Devas try to churn the milk ocean ( parkadal) to get Amritam the Elixir to keep them immortal and powerful. Sri Vishnu takes Koorma Avataram to help the Devas in this process. So many valuable objects emerge from the ocean during the churning. Devas use the power of Asuras too assuring them an equal portion of Amritam . But do they achievethe desired results? Let's find out.
