Episode 49 breaks down The Latter Prophets. To understand The Latter Prophets is to understand their books full of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Righteous men and women have The Book of Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi to look to as a stepping stone to continuing honing and learning about the major prophets who left us with so many lessons that we continue to learn from to this day. A prophet is defined as an individual who gives the declarations of The Most High. These Latter prophets did not strive to live their lives based upon their own glory. These Latter Prophets did not strive to live their lives exalting themselves ahead of The Children of Israel. These Latter Prophets did not strive to live their lives being preoccupied with the riches of the world. These Latter Prophets lived their lives in accordance with the declarations of The Most High, and the establishments and continued reestablishments of the righteousness of The Children of Israel. Deuteronomy 18: [18-19].
A prophet is defined as an individual who gives the declarations of The Most High. The term “Latter Prophet” is to be viewed as the length of a prophet's walk with The Most High and The Children of Israel. Righteous men and women of The Most High, acknowledge, recognize, and understand that every prophet was and served an important role. The only difference is that some prophets had larger roles in terms of their length of time walking with The Most High and the Children of Israel. We must remember that the days of these prophets spanned hundreds of years and many things occurred with The Most High, The Children of Israel, and the prophets. The Latter Prophets were tasked with great expectations and responsibilities more earlier on than the latter prophets. During the times of The Latter Prophets, The Children of Israel were continually falling back into idolatry and sin which continually lead to their downfall and exiles. The Latter Prophets had the world on their shoulders in terms of their expectations and responsibilities to The Children of Israel, as well as the nations. The other nations were affected as well because if The Children of Israel weren’t righteous, then the nations would continually play a part in the chastisement and punishment of The Children of Israel, rather than fear and respect The Children of Israel as The Most High had originally made it to be, which we know from the original covenant with Jacob. Genesis 35: [10-12].
It's up to saints of The Most High's to warn those around them about the evil, wickedness, and idolatry of the world. It’s up to the saints of The Most High to share the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of The Most High. Ezekiel 33: [8-9]. Without the Laws, Statutes, and Commandments of The Most High, we'll only continue to be given calamity throughout our lives.
All praises to The Most High.
