"Always Be Creating." - DJ Z-Trip
Productivity and creativity and balance and exercise and Instagram and interviews and... and.. and...
This career puts a ton of demands on us as artists. How the eff do we manage to build a successful career over years if not decades without completely imploding? There's gotta be a trick, right?
We wanted to take this question to one of the pioneers of modern music. Known on the surface to many as the genre-blending DJ that started the whole "mashup" revolution, we learn that there's so much more to his vision of success than just the instagram follows and fame. Really it's quite simple, common sense yet uncommon practice that's allowed Z to excel for so long at such a high . But he wasn't just born into it. Join us as Mike dives into what challenges in Z's career have come up over the past 30 years, what "success" means to him now, and what invaluable resources he would recommend to any artist or creative looking to do this for a living. That and a whole bunch more on this one. Buckle up, guys. This chat will change the way you think.
