The lives lost are a brutal reminder the 2nd Amendment is a double-edged sword. Gun advocates will have to steel themselves to defend gun rights in the wake of this major WTF moment in US history. America needs to heal but we must also become stronger, harder, defense-minded, and aware the world is a very dangerous place. As legislators strive to prevent incidents like the Buffalo race motivated massacre and the slaughter of innocent children in Uvalde, Texas, they must consider, that armed law-abiding citizens do not commit mass shootings. If anything, they stand as a deterrent against mass shooters. Additionally, they can act as first responders and engage and or detain the disarmed shooter.
Why don’t we employ our vets to guard our schools from cowardly acts of violence? We need a show of force against racist scum and cowardly killers. Our nation is being perceived by loathing creatures as a soft and vulnerable target. These Spineless psychopaths are so comfortable they feel they can shoot up a grocery store or a school without being shot themselves. When someone has a gun and you do not, you are at disadvantage. The 2nd Amendment is equality of force. So-called white Supremacists won’t feel so emboldened to terrorize the black community if they knew grandma had a Kalashnikov rifle locked and loaded for them.
Maybe disturbed students wouldn’t shoot up schools if they knew teachers, security, and permanent on sight law enforcement were trained to engage knuckle-headed kids with access to firearms.
Why do we need weapons with high-capacity magazines in the 1st place? 1. To protect your life, family, home, and property from an armed individual or a group. 2. To stop or prevent a serious crime resulting in serious bodily harm or death. 3. To defend the US Constitution from all threats foreign and domestic.
Guns keep legislators from burning black people in concentration camps. While this scenario is horrifically hyperbolic, we must consider the world is managed by mortal failable human beings. In case you forgot or failed history, between 1934-1945 Adolf Hitler had over 17 million killed during his reign in Nazi Germany. Between 1922-1953 Joseph Stalin executed over 23 million citizens of the Soviet Union. During the span of 1943-to 1976, Mao Zedong executed more than 78 million people in China. Historically, several governments have killed their citizens. Maybe this generation will do the right thing. Or perhaps tyranny will prevail. Notwithstanding, as long as the 2nd Amendment is honored, a tyrannical government would have a hell of a time exerting its oppression on the American people. We must strive to prevent mass shootings without treading upon the 2nd Amendment. This right guarantees every free American a fighting chance. UPGRADE AMERICA
