How do you interpret the 2nd Amendment? “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Many people seem to have diversely different opinions on what this means. One thing’s for sure, we must protect this amendment as it is the clause that backs all other amendments.
America’s founders went through great lengths to create a government for the people by the people. The right to bear arms is a check put in place to keep the federal government from drifting into a tyrannical state.
Moreover, if any ballsy superpower dares to invade our sovereign soil, the American people will put forth the most relentless insurgency the earth has ever witnessed. It is far easier to oppress a population without guns than a society that bears arms.
While there are a few bad apples ruining it for the bunch, we mustn’t allow the follies of the few to revoke the rights of the people. What are your thoughts on gun control and the 2nd Amendment?
