Description

On this episode of the 4-4-2, Nate has an in-depth discussion with guest Judah Cooks technical director at Washington Capital United, who played professionally in MLS for DC United and was a Member of the United States men's national under-17 soccer team at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship.

Nate and Judah begin their conversation talking about the youth movement at DC United. With Griffin Yow, Moses Nyeman, Kevin Paredes, recently signed Jacob Green, Bill Hamid, and Donovan Pines all rising to the senior team in recent years the future seems very bright if these young players can continue to develop. Or will ownership get antsy and just blow it all up and pursue a high profile DP upon returning from the Covid year with a possible run at names like Olivier Giroux or Willian?

The next topic, Nate and Judah discuss is their love for the Blues. Chelsea has had a great run this season, with the offseason additions really starting to come tougher and integrating themselves. Both Nate and Judah see a real chance of a run for the Prem title and a deep run in the Champions League.

In the second segment of the week, Nate goes over the incredibly confusing ending to the MLS playoff game between Orlando City and NYCFC.

For Kit of the week Nate expresses his lack of love for the brand new Austin FC inaugural kit.
