Today we have two lovely ladies from Asheville on the show: Jess Williams and Miranda Allison. Jess and Miranda are good friends who found each other through the comedy scene in Asheville where they’ve been performing standup over the last year. Jess is from NY/Philly area and Miranda is from Hendersonville, NC. In today’s interview, they share their comedy origin stories…Miranda describes how she got on stage after living in a van traveling across the country and how she’s found a comedy home in NC, and Jess shares the motivation she received from friends and acquaintances in NY before doing her first open mic at a sold out show in Johnson City, TN. We also discuss relationships, donating plasma, how comedy helps you grow as a person, and they share tips they learned from Becca Steinhoff who runs a standup comedy class in Asheville.
